The events were tough (for me) at first but once you get the hang of them they're all doable. In most games something like that would be tedious. What's interesting is that it's actually fun doing it. It's gotten to the point where I'm going back and cleaning up the 2nd place finishes to get them to first. The challenge of each level increases just enough where you want to play "just one more" before calling it a night. … ExpandĮnjoying every minute of this game. The AI cheats if you maintain first place long enough, they will fly past you at 220 mph when you're pushing it to the limits in the fastest car with nitro burning a mere 170, it is extremely frustrating. The AI is very good at avoiding hard targets and there aren't too many, but there are essentially five other racer cars that only get in your way and two that you compete with: you will never see people aside from Sanchez or Benton and yourself (if you're good) finish in the top 1-2-3 for races. Feel your tends begin to snap as you continually push as hard as you can on the up arrow or W, or whatever you set it and thats how it will always be, you can't set one control to two buttons, no, and you can't change during races so if your right arm gets tired, good luck finishing against the AI that will use the slowest cars and go 60% faster than you.

Awesome and highly recommended! … Expandįlatout 2, while an awesome game, pisses the player off and will injure you during extended play. Unlike the NFS games (Underground and Most Wanted) this racer runs smooth as silk on my Athlon64 4000+ with Ati x850xt pcix and 2 gigs of ram. By the end of a race the track will be thoroughly trashed and your car will be a twisted shadow of its former self. The city and rural landscapes are stunningly beautiful and almost totally destructible. Computer AI is believably aggressive and at times very difficult to beat. If your a fan of intense fender to fender action then you owe it to yourself to pick up this game. By the end of a race the track will be thoroughly trashed A magnificent game and quite possibly the best arcade racer ever made.

… ExpandĪ magnificent game and quite possibly the best arcade racer ever made. It's nothing amazing, but it's only $30 too. Ah well, to sum up, this is a straight-up racing game with some destructive elements and some funny minigames. Personally I prefer Need for Speed: Most Wanted because the cars are way, way cooler and there's far more customization. Unfortunately once you've unlocked all of the cars in the single player Career mode you've done all the game has to offer other than playing the many game types just for fun. The minigames are plentiful and entertaining. You'll often find yourself in amazing crashes or incredibly close races.

Personally I prefer Need for Speed: Most Wanted because FlatOut 2 is a fun game.
